About

As a kid, there were two forms of art I was immediately exposed to: tourist driven kitsch landscape scenes of moose drinking from mountain fed streams, and that of skateboard and snowboard, magazines and album graphics . I championed the latter, and found out quickly there was even more.

As I stayed up nights reading art history books and studying brush strokes, I found a deep interest in the visual arts. Later, after years of training, I realized it’s the act of storytelling that really enthralls. Each person in their style, their school, their technique, their hand and their eye all wants a story to be told. This is a fantastical and elaborate story, or the basis of all thought in the clearest forms ever postulated.

Hailing from a ski town in the Mount Washington Valley, NH, I have traveled the Americas in search of design and knowledge. My academic career started with a small Art College on the North Shore of Mass. From there I set out for Central America, and traveled up and down from coast to cloud forest to volcano. I made plans to move to the front range of Colorado. I finished my BFA in illustration with a minor in Art History at RIT, of upstate New York. I now reside in beautiful Philadelphia PA.

I set my sights towards illustration, so I could get as many eyes on my work as possible. It’s design for the public, which appeals to me greatly. I also always enjoyed the assisted focus, and the direction of another’s insight on a project, a mood or a message to convey. The collaboration of artist and client/art director excites me; A chance to gain a little perspective on how my images are seen. These visual representation of a story always intrigued me.

Either way, we all have a story for you. I hope you enjoyed mine!
